modern art
Welcome to Paul Tas
Paul Tas' work embraces several concepts and objects. Every object has it's own story, is unique in it's kind and is handmade (custom made design).
As an artist and an industrial designer he also creates ceramic sculptures and paintings. Paul Tas has conducted and has been involved in big projects such as Damien Hirst's 'For the love of God', several projects in the Heineken Experience, Anne Frank Museum and the Openluchtmuseum.
What is particularly evident in Paul Tas' work is the several stylecurrents and developments you recover back in his work, much like his own style "the Japanese Expressionism": A mix between the Dutch Cobra group and Manga (Japanese artstyle). From Miffy to Picasso. He also creates a Traditional style combined with Present Art.
These designs are exhibited and showed during fashionshows (Chanel), in Furniture Design stores and Galeries (both national and international). One would call this art applied art or exclusive design.
Paul Tas is an artist from Amsterdam. He has a studio at home.
