Grey Jezus

2011

TEXT Ed Strobel.  Recently heard a message that a few people had comments on the artistic expression of Paul Tas, in particular to an image that was exhibited in a gallery on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. It was an image resembling jesus (deliberately not capitalized) which was beautifully decorated with all attributes and would look good in the lobby of a building or a home. The art, also expensive trash, is part of a number of art objects which recieves a great deal of attention.  During a visit of a few people at the gallery, they expressed some comments on the image as it would be offensive; they were rude to the gallery owner, so that they had to be removed out of the gallery and their behavior can best be described as order and calm disruptive behavior. the visitors took no action to leave the gallery, it was then when the police had to come in to remove the rioters from the gallery. But not until after they attempted to express declaration of insult to the offending image. Luckily the rightsystem cocluded that the image was Art in stead of an item to shock people. Another evidence of the indiscriminate nature and intolerance of a few believers who feel called upon in their faith. Apparently it is not restricted to Muslims with a short fuse, but also our Christian brothers have their way of not thinking out of the box. There is more to say about this but i will close this message, out of respect for myself, and i will not write more about this kind of primitive behavior.
